be a (good) biology teacher

The road towards actually becoming a teacher is going well!!

I am really surprised it is going so smoothly. And I’m enjoying myself a lot!! Working with those kids, helping them grow up, teaching them (literally) about life (Bio-logy, the science of life). I thought I was going to need a considerable period to adapt and relax, but it has been going well from the start on! I’m still weary for a setback though. Better to be prepared, because there will be one, than to be caught unawares.

I had a little bonus this week, when I was allowed to go along with a 3-day trip with 4th class (15-16 year olds). An amazing experience, getting to know the students on a whole different level, as well as the teachers!!

Who ever said being a teacher was monotonous??

Got to know my high school where I will be placed from next week onwards.

Very nice and quiet atmosphere (this could’ve had something to do with the fact that it was Friday afternoon), and I got along with my direct supervisors very well. Very, very pleasant first impression of the school in general.

Good conditions have been set for my first steps in the world of teaching Biology. It’s up to me now.
