Can I have a boy as a best friend if I want or do I need to have a girl best friend? Would that be weird? A boy is my best option at the moment. Same taste in books, ESP (or maybe just being predictable) all that stuff, but do I need a girl best friend? Answer me or be doomed!

So I found someone who might be best friend material. I’ll wait to make sure a little longer; this is a serious decision. I’ll see if there’s anything better at school when it starts up, and if not, I’ll work towards making this person my best friend. Any advice on how to do this? As I’ve previously mentioned, I can’t just ask.
