The progress has been slow, but it’s getting there.
My family and I pray more at meal time. Then again, having a meal together is a blessing in itself. Even made a game out of it. Everyone at the table puts their thumbs up at the table. Whoever is the last person to do it, has to pray. At least we get more prayer at the table out of it. I think the idea came from my dad’s church.
I still pray every night. If something I feel pretty good happened to me, I pray for thanks. For instance, having my car brake down near home instead of on the interstate on the way back to college.
I also pray every time I see an ambulance racing down the road or a fire truck. I pray for the people that they will be alright.

Okay I remembered to pray this morning. It was kind of different, like awkward different. The type of different when you are meeting someone you know, but don’t know all that well and trying to spend more time with them kind of different. I shouldn’t feel this way, but honestly, what do you pray for in the morning?
I basically prayed and gave thanks for the new day, and the opportunities I will have to do good works. Giving thanks is one thing I don’t do quite enough.
I can’t pray like I normally would during meal time, right now I’m on day 3 of a 5 day juice-to-water fast. I’m going to pray for spiritual nourishment instead around anytime I would eat. I’m not hungry surprisingly, but I just wish it would be over.
It seems my trial is “waiting”. I hate waiting, I feel like I wait for things all the time. Usually I have enough control over a situation that I can make it go faster if it doesn’t happen fast enough. Unfortunately I can’t do that with day and night, lol.
Maybe I should learn to balance myself, so I’m not too sluggish at life at one time and going at it light speed the next. Maybe then, life would be more enjoyable.

I already pray every night before I go to bed. I have been since I was a little girl. When I do I try hard to not just go through the motions. I also took a tip from the Jewish faith and lets my lips move as though I’m speaking so I will concentrate harder on the prayer.
I almost never go to bed without praying. It’s almost a scary thought, no it IS a scary thought. I don’t sleep well either if I don’t.
I’m going to try to make an effort to pray when I get up in the morning too. I doubt it will be quiet as second nature as praying before bed, but I will try. I have tried before but I have a tendency to forget things as I just get up and out of bed.
I will also try to pray before every meal. Something I have been neglecting to do….
