I currently don’t have enough space to have a tray planting even. I can’t leave it outside because some drunken college student might pee on it.
So I’m spending my time learning about various plants, and how to grow them properly.
I’ll have a garden some day!

I know I dont have a place for growing things at the dorm currentally.
But I think I’m getting the hang of this potted plant thing. The mysterious flowering plant my boyfriend bought me for Valentines is still thriving. I even made a little water can out of an old pop bottle by cutting a hole in the lid with a box knife. Now all I need to do is squeeze to get the water in the pot. Less mess!
I think since I haven’t killed it I’m feeling a closer connection with plants. I actually remember to water it. Maybe plants are easier to take care of than animals after all… lol.
Next semester I’m gonna look into fall vegetable plants, and maybe get two boxes to put on the window sills.

Funny how I can keep furry little animals alive, but am at a loss on what to do for a plant. I hope I don’t have a black thumb.
I used to have a bamboo plant, it was actually pretty easy to care for, but I accidentally forgot about it for 2 months and killed it. My boyfriend got me this flowering plant for valentines. I’m trying my best not to kill it, but it only seems envitable as I may under/over water it.
I can’t even find out what kind of plant it is! There’s nothing on it that identifies it, and I asked some other people about it and they said it was some hybrid they dont know much about. I also tried some searches and plant identification keys and I still came up with nothing. Bummer.
When I do get a chance to garden (hard to do in dorm), I want to have a vegetable garden, and be able to grow my own food. The stuff in the supermarket really doesn’t do. Ya know?
