I’ve been going jogging by myself more often and I try to speed-walk/jog with a couple women in my neighborhood – but they only go 3 times a week. I’m making progress, though!



Today could the the start...

...of the month I’m talking about in my goal. Probably not… but maybe. I did some cardio with my sisters when they came over today. It was more difficult than I’d anticipated, but I think it’s cause we didn’t do it until around 10ish and I prefer not to eat breakfast until after my workout.

I didn’t get this accomplished by the 14th, but I did more cardio than I usually do. Also, (here come the excuses) I was sick a couple of times during this period, so that’s one reason I didn’t do any cardio those days. Anyway. I’m not taking this off until I succeed in doing cardio 5 times a week for a month… so here’s to starting over. clink

so I didn’t work out yesterday or the day before. Yesterday I got a pretty good walk in, but I don’t know if my heart rate was up enough to count it as cardio. Today I did my mom’s hula cardio DVD with my mom and sisters, and then my sisters and I went to the beach and walked around for a little over an hour. Yay!

I didn’t work out on Saturday cause I had a cold.
Monday and Tuesday – Tahitian cardio for about 30 minutes each, plus some weights/leg lifts/10 point abs/etc.
I haven’t worked out today yet but the day isn’t over! And I seriously need to because I’m going to be sitting in a car all night (driving to my parent’s house) and it’s gonna drive me nuts.

So after that last entry I pretty much went a week without doing anything but a little strength training, which I already do, so really, I didn’t make any progress whatsoever. Wow. What a run-on sentence.
Anyway, yesterday, I did some light cardio (about 15 minutes) to some To My Boy and some strength training. Today I did a Tahitian dance workout video that I got in the mail this afternoon (from my mom) and that was about 26 minutes. It may have been longer cause there was this extra dance thing at the end, but I had to feed my baby so I cut it short. Hopefully I’ll have the energy and motivation to that video every day (and hopefully mix it up with some other stuff… I dunno… like running around the house again).

Okay so hopefully I can get going with this…
Today: 21 minutes cardio, 6+ minutes cool down
I listened to 3 Dragonforce songs while I ran around the house and did jumping jacks and a few jogging movements I learned when I used to do track. Dorky? Definitely. Nathan thought I was a hoot.
I then did a cool-down to “I’m Walking Away” by Craig David.
I think I can keep this up if I keep changing up the music. I’m going to write an entry every time I workout. I think it’ll help me keep up with this.
