go back to school and get a different degree.

I have realized that perhaps my sociology degree isn’t exactly leading to jobs and the fact that I am tied to a certain geographic area makes employment in my field difficult. I have always been interested in medicine. If I had the money, I would love to go back to school and become a Registered Nurse or maybe even a Vet Tech, I love animals! I just don’t really have funds right now. I can only go part-time and I don’t have the money to pay tuition even at a community college. I already consolidated my loans from both undergrad and grad school, you can only do it once, so I will have to pay whatever the loan repayment is when I graduate from nursing school, without consolidation your monthly payment is like 50% higher! I know that with nursing, I think you can get 20% of your loans forgiven because there is such a nursing shortage. Maybe I will do it someday…
