Give the needy food and other items they would actually like.

I gave my co-worker’s son a brand new Harvest Moon for the DS since she can’t really afford to buy him games for the new toy he got for Easter from his Grandpa. She’s a single mom, and she said that he loved it. Still got that warm fuzzy feeling, so it counts, right?

I just saw this goal and added it. I recently posted an entry under my “make a difference goal” that applies here.

I just put together 3 easter baskets for a homeless shelter today. I donated a bunch of brand new toiletry items (shampoo, soaps, body washes, lotions, loofahs, sanitary pads, etc.) and some canned goods and food. I know that they need all of the help they can get, and every little thing is more special during a holiday. They looked so cute with all of the easter cellophane and ribbons. I really hope they like it!
