I added up all of the change we’ve saved up in our change jars and we had saved about $120 in total. Not bad for just a few months of work. :) Our baby’s first birthday is coming up so we’re gonna get him a cool toy and a new chest of drawers.

I just asked the hubby what he wanted to do with our change fund (we save about $500 a year in spare change alone) and he said he wanted to buy a CD with it. (He’s into investing). I’d rather do something more fun like go on a weekend trip or buy a new sound system, but he’s right… we need to think about the future, as boring as it sounds.
I have two change collecting places set up right now. One is right by our front door so I can throw all of the misc change I find in there while I’m cleaning, and I have one set up upstairs in our bedroom so I can raid my hubby’s pockets while I’m sorting the laundry.
We only have about $10 so far, but it will grow quickly knowing us!
