Learn to knit

There’s a fantastic yarn shop just blocks from my house that offers affordable 4-session basic knitting classes. I think I’ll enroll. I feel like I need help “troubleshooting” my stiches…

I can knit!!! I knit a few rows last night!!! Whooooo hoooo! I ripped them all out and started from scratch a few times to make sure I had the cast on process in my head. I’m having trouble because it seems that some of my stitches are too tight. I read that I might be working to close to the end of the needles. I’m going to practice more tonight with that in mind.

After about an hour of frustration, I finally figured out how to cast on. Now it’s like second nature. I’m a cast on champion! Only problem, now that I’m to the knitting part, I can’t figure it out. I’m stumped! Loops through the front and through the back and wrap around and blah! I’m going to leave it for now and pick up the needles again tomorrow and give it another go. I’m pretty happy with what I’ve learned so far. I can see how relaxing it is though.
