Go skydiving

My Christmas gift from nabil was another shot at skydiving! I was so beyond thrilled with the gift. We scoped out the weather and drove up to Santa Barbara (technically Lompoc) on Saturday. The weather was nice and clear (and cold).

Anyway…
I GOT TO JUMP!!!

It was so amazing. I was honestly not scared for one moment. I was too excited to be nervous. Watching the video of it, I am ALL smiles the whole way up and the whole way down. I have been wanting to do this forever and I was resigned to the fact that it was going to be forever before I would be able to. I am SO excited to be knocking this off my to-do list.

It was a beautiful view from my 13,000 feet up in the air. Lompoc is on a peninsula so I was surrounded by ocean on 3 sides, just beautiful! Thinking about it and talking about still makes me smile and get giddy.

I jumped out of a plane! EEEE!!

I didn’t get to go skydiving for my birthday. We attempted twice. The first time things were going fine, I was suppose to be in the next plane to go up, when all of a sudden the weather got bad. So we waited around for hours for it to clear up… it never did. So two days later, I checked the weather and we tried again. This time by the time we got there it was just too windy. I was so very very disappointed! Did I mention that there was ten hours of driving between the two attempts there. Ugh. So I have another try scheduled for July while I’m in Cali again. I SO hope it happens this time!

So one month from now I may get to check this as done. YAY!! I’m sure hopin it happens!

of nabil skydiving about 5-10 years ago. He sent it to me cuz he thought I would enjoy it. He was right. It made me want to do it even MORE!! It looks like so much stinkin fun! Maybe I will do it this year!

This is something I have always wanted to do. Something I will DEFINTLY do!!
