The test was going to be next Thursday, but there was a power outage and the professor changed it to Tuesday (week after Thursday). Hope I do well!
I got a 104 on my test!! Hopefully I will end up with an A in the class. Have to work hard because on the first test I got a 79. Ok well this week just have to review what I learned on Thursday. :D
The next Logic test is on March 8. I am going to start on my review sheet today. I got another extra credit point yesterday. :)
Today we discussed the A,E,I,O statements again.
Quantifiers: All, No, Some- they say how much of the subject class is included of excluded from the predicate class ( I got this wrong today in class because I said qualifiers instead of quanti-fiers)
Copula- Are and are not
- (Quantity) of the statement: Universal or Particular
Universal statements: A, E
Particular statements: I, O
- (Quality) of the statements: affirmative or negative
A, I statements: are affirmative
E, O statements: are negative
We also learned about Distributed terms in a proposition
- (A) statement only the subject is distributed
- (E) statement both the subject and the predicate is distributed
- (I) statement neither the subject or the predicate is distributed
- (O) statement only the predicate is distributed
“USNP”
*Copula will always be “are” or “are not” for this logic class
“The formula:” (Quantifier), (subject), (copula), (predicate)
Ok that sums up what I learned today.
I earned 2 extra credit points today!!!! :D
