This was put on hold due to lack of funds for lessons. I should have kept playing but didn’t… sigh

My kids and I started violin lessons 4 weeks ago. In that time we’ve had 3 private lessons plus a small group lesson. As we are all beginners we were in the 1st small group which is made up primarily of 5 – 7 year olds. I towered above them all.
There will be a concert in November where all of our teacher’s students play with an orchestra. As 1st small group will be standing for much of the concert since we don’t know many (or for some, any) songs yet, we got to practice standing and looking intelligent. We also practiced walking in a line while carrying our violins. My husband informed me after the lesson that I did very well at looking intelligent.
Currently: I’m playing Twinkle in all it’s many variations and working on having “fast fingers”.
My immediate goal: develop “fast fingers” so I can move up to the 2nd small group which spends more time playing, and less time looking intelligent. ; )
