Although I’d never want to make the big switch, I’m definitely trying to incorporate more raw foods into my diet, and have (with an old friend) been learning some recipes from a new friend who’s a raw food pro.
It’s definitely been fun to get together to make edible things, and Wednesday we took the cookie recipe we made a while back and made it ourselves with another woman who’d had some of the cookies and loved them so much she wanted to learn to make them too.
We had a fun and messy time and each ended up with a nice big batch to take home. Healthy and filling and SO yummy. We’re keeping out eyes out for great deals on unsalted mixed nuts (it can get pricey for a huge bag) and cutters that might work a bit better with the consistency, but these will hold us for a while.
Next? We’re rabid to learn how to make the avocado and date cocoa cake that tastes like fudge… it was SO amazingly delicious. Our raw food guru is on vacation at the moment, but we’re making a date when she returns.
