Keeping track of my life. Catching pieces I might otherwise forget. Putting my memories somewhere safe (in case I lose my mind?).

Knitting 1 year ago

For me this involves several things: learning something new, creating something useful, and more often than not, giving something away. Plus it’s deliciously relaxing.

Knitting makes me feel like I’m defragging my brain.

Toys 1 year ago

Of the grown-up variety. If you’ve never treated yourself… do.

Massage 1 year ago

Be it professional for relaxation or sensual from a lover, with hands, oil or hot rocks. Touch is one of my favorite things.

Lucid dreaming 1 year ago

Anything.
Everything.

Bed 1 year ago

Curling up in our beautiful, gloriously comfy bed with gratuitous pillows and quilts. Sleeping in. Or… not sleeping. I love our bed. I wish I got to spend more time in it. I will try to make a greater effort.

Breathing in flowers 1 year ago

Live ones. Fresh dew jeweled flora freshens up the soul like nobody’s business.

Hair mask!!! 1 year ago

Oh yes… feeding the locks to make them strong and happy (and deliciously scented). Vunderbar. (now to re-color!)

Girl’s day out (pub nostalgia) 1 year ago

Friday afternoon Markus looked after Isak while I had a much needed Girls Day with Kate. We met downtown to shop for our various Stitch & Bitch projects (I bought some circular needles and a big bag of gorgeous wool), then went to the Cambie – a favorite deliciously divey pub of our youth.

The bathrooms still smell as foul as ever and the draught still wins no prizes, but we laughed a lot while telling old stories (“do you know why you-know-who got kicked out of here for life?” or showing up there after Bunnycon with 300 other people dressed as rabbits).

It was the first place either of us had a drink, some 20 years ago (we were both 15 at the time). We’ve all changed a lot (except a couple of people, who were still there, much like the pennies squashed into the cracks of the tables).

After our pints we did some estrogen charged shopping and ended up with cute Valentine’s Day panties and cozy gray flannel pajamas with pink atomic symbols all over them.
