- There was sunshine today! Isak and I took a very long walk, tromping through rain filled ditches, frolicking on drying playgrounds, taking unfamiliar paths, we even made a quick trip to the library. It was beautiful out, and the fresh air did wonders for both of us.
- A giant hardcover Art Nouveau book full of exquisitely beautiful things.
- Markus came home and made a wonderful chicken dinner with rice and a spinach salad; a most excellent tomato on the side. Now we’re going to watch a movie…

- It was cold and rainy, and Isak and I were both feeling flattened, so we played pre-school hooky; stayed home and read, played, took warm baths, and decorated a big cardboard box.
- An invite from a dear girlfriend for homemade French Toast Friday morning. I also reconnected with a family I used to nanny for years ago.
- Isak had an early night, so Markus and I made big mugs of tea, nibbled After 8’s and watched The Day of the Locust. Nice, relaxing grown-up time.

- Instead of my usual morning coffee at the café, I opted for a ginger green tea, which was delicious.
- I had two hours of sleep the night before, was beyond exhausted, and dreading the cold & rainy bus ride home from pre-school. Just as I was bundling up we were offered a lift back. I was SO grateful. We came home and had a fantastic nap.
- The season’s first box of mandarin oranges!
