7 feet plus of purple and green stripyness, and it’s mine all mine! mwah ha ha. It’s a cold and rainy day too, so I’ll get some use out of it.
For now, I’ll retire this goal until it starts getting cold again.

I’m averaging a new stripe every couple of days.
Sort of a relaxing spare time thing at the moment.
2 months to the day after the great unraveling, I picked up this project and started again.
I unraveled my lovely, lovely purple & green striped scarf this afternoon. Break my heart… it’s the first time I’ve ever done that, but if I’m going to do something I may as well do it right.
I rolled it up and am back to square 1.
Cast on another dozen.
I’ve been working on this one every day lately – it’s nearly finished now – somewhere between 5 – 6 feet. I think my hands need a break…
For my brother…
It’s his birthday later this month so I made this one for him.
I finished late last night (or was it early this morning?) – it’s somewhere between 6 and 7 feet, sort of like him. It’s wonderfully soft and warm too.
SO now I’ve made scarves for my parents and my brother (and several friends – I still need to drop off some packages, but I got a wonderful call the other day from one old friend who loved hers).
I really should drape myself and my own little family in fabulous woolliness soon…
W00t! I got halfway through a new scarf and figured I’d try properly splicing in the new ball & it worked wonderfully. Of course, this particular wool is obviously pretty forgiving, but I like it. And I’ve managed to get over 3 feet finished in 4 days.
After I finish this one I’ll re-do the purple & green striped one and then consider taking on the monolithic Dr.Who scarf goal… (if I can afford that much wool that is).
After finishing the much loved striped scarf last week I’ve determined that I actually need to take it apart and start all over again. The colour joining just won’t do. Sad but true.
I haven’t had the heart to do it yet, so I tucked it away and started a new one instead. A purple one, on itty bitty needles.
And on and on I go… I like it!
I think I can finish this off in the next few days.
It’s going alright so far… except for the occasional previous colour trail on one side. I may have to add more – I doubt if twice what I have will be long enough.
