This was fun. I hid it inside the cement circle on the East corner of Broadway & Victoria, along the Grandview Cut. I took a pic and came home. Before I even got a chance to log it in there was already a message on the site:
“I was super excited to find it, but haven’t started it yet.
-CAUGHT IN VANCOUVER BC CANADA”
Someone already found it and logged it on the site! Yay!! I think I’ll order a stamp, make some labels myself and free some of the ones I have around here too. Birds & stones, you know.

I’d been meaning to add this as a goal when a freshly released book crawled over and bit me last week while I was waiting to give blood. 20 minutes later I met the lady who left it and we had a delightful chat over our free snacks and coffee.
I signed up the next day and already received a nice welcome message from someone in the area letting me know about the nearby OBCZs, inviting me to various meetups & offering to answer any questions. Very friendly.
It may take me for a while to get my ducks books in a row here, but at least I have something to check out after I finish what I’m currently reading. Not something I would have chosen but I’m willing to give it a whirl.
