Last year, i took this goal way to lightly. So I decided to take this goal a lot more seriously this year and rather than just run when i feel like it, i decided to plan my running schedule. Firstly i looked up when marathon competitions are being held. Then i looked up a running timetable on the internet that would cover 15 weeks ( time before marathon) and help me get ready for the marathon. I started running this week, and so far i have kept up with the timetable. If anyone else is lacking the motivation to actually go running and preparing for a marathon, i recommend you do what i did…it has really motivated me to start running again :)

Today was such a beautiful day, went for a run and then stopped ova at a fruit shop got some mandarins, nectarines and plums (tropical fruits), then stopped ova at another place and got some juice. Then ran back, and decided to sit outside and just enjoy the summer breeze. It was sooooooo REFRESHING and i felt so healthy too!!!!Felt like i was starting the day on a tropical island!!!:)

Today i went to the Botanical Gardens quite close to my house. Was a beautiful sunny day, so decided to go for a 2 hr run/walk/jog. Was awesome, have had a lot on my mind lately and was a good chance for me to clear my head. Afterwards, i sat by the pond, and read a book. I feel so calm now, and has definetly put things in perspective.
Went for a run/walk with one of my best friends again and discovered that you can make running boring if you want to, but if you’re like me, you would want to make life a little fun for yourself. “The Runner’s Combo” is essentially your own design. Obviously one of its features is a run – however you can pick whether to (walk/run/jog) and you can pick a variety of routes/times/schedules. In addition, you will be able to spend quality time with a friend and catch up on the latest goss. Also, think of all the water you will drink, and vitamin E your skin will get. Just like a happy meal at McDonalds you will also recieve a toy. However you can only pick up your toy within your route. It might be breakfast at a cafe you pass by, a pair of shoes, a postcard, or a glance at a hottie working in one of the stores. Its up to you, whateva tickles your fancy!!!!

In the beginning of the year, i saw this picture of a girl running. I thought to myself “i want to be like her.” She looked like someone that perservered, endured, and remained committed to her goal. Those are the characteristics i was lacking, and strongly desired. So I started going for walks with my friend. To get me motivated, i decided running around the block would be to boring for me. So i selected five places in the city i lived in that would be perfect. A beach, a mountain, a garden, a lake and a long road full of cafe’s. Ive also found 2 especially 2 good friends that have the same goal as me, so i thought that we could motivate each other to go running twice a week.
