To start in the Elite section at Bloomsday, one must “have a reasonable chance of finishing in the top 50 overall, male or female (5:15 pace for men, 6:30 pace for women).” (http://www.bloomsday.org/EliteSeeding.htm) I think finishing under 40 minutes in a prior Bloomsday would fit the bill, so I’m thinking I should go ahead and do that by 2007 or 2008, then run in the elite group the next year. I qualified for Second Seeding after the 2003 race by breaking 48, and plan on breaking 43 this year (2006).
