Dear 43 Things Users,

10 years after introducing 43 Things to the world, we have decided we have met our last goal: completing the incredible experience that has been 43 Things. Please join us in giving one last cheer to all the folks who have shared their goals with the world, as well as all the people who have worked at The Robot Co-op to build this incredible website. We won a Webby Award, published a book, and brought happiness to a lot of people.

Starting today, 43 Things users can export their goals and entries from the site. Starting August 15, we will make the site “read only”. 43 Things users will still be able to view the site and export their content, but we won’t be taking any new content from users. We hope to leave the site up for folks to see and download their content until the end of the year. Ending on New Year’s Eve takes us full circle.

It has been a long ride (one of our original goals was to "build a company that lasts at least 2 years” - we beat that one!) While we wish the site could live on, it has suffered from a number of challenges - changes in how people use the site, the advertising industry, and how search engines view the site. We wish the outcome was different – but we’ve always been realistic about when our goals are met and when they aren't.

As of today, you will be able to download your goals and entries. See more about that on the FAQ page. Thanks for 10 great years of goal-setting and achieving.

3 being able to go home from work early…..

4 hubby who brought me ginger-ale, water and a wee taste of supper as I lay on the couch…

5 feeling somewhat better than when I got home.

Introspection...

I am grateful

1 that I didn’t send the email I almost sent this am. to R. It would not have been good. I’m happy that I “sat” in the feelings rather than sent the email. The urge passed by the end of the day.

2 a nice walk with my dogs

3 great day at work.. no real problems with the students

4 my piano practice.. I’m so grateful I took up piano a few years ago.. who cares how old I am.. or that I don’t practise an hour a day… it’s my money .. .I’ll take as long as I d… well please to learn piano…

5 sleeping pills, because I had insomnia again last night…

6 Mexico… and time away from hubby and home…

4 the phone conversation I had with R early in the day.

6 my plans for Mexico… less than 2 weeks.. and i’ll be basking in the Mexican sun!!

3 days off.. yipee....

I am grateful for ..

Wednesday over with....

I am grateful for

1 a better night’s sleep

2 not arguing with my husband this am, as we had a doozy last night… it’s always about money and not enough of it… I’m always the one keeping things afloat.. it gets to be very tiresome after awhile… but i’m grateful that I accept things as they are because at this point, I’m not willing to change anything.

3 the kids at school were pretty cooperative today, in spite of a lot of spring fever type behaviour.

4 A day off on Friday… tomorrow is going to be our Friday at school, as we have a 3 day weekend coming up… yippee!!

5 A very nice letter from a friend.. received by mail.. wow!! Very thoughtfully written with humour, and appreciation for the letter I sent to him last month…
