learn another language fluently

I want to become fluent in AT LEAST one other language.

Current thoughts:
Italian – studied it for a year and love Italy but limited worldwide use.
Spanish – useful and similar to Italian, which may be helpful or may be confusing.
German – studied it for a couple of years, easy to pick up as it’s similar to English.
Chinese – such an interesting and useful language but definitely a nightmare to learn.
