I’ve been using the GTD methodology for a few months now, and I feel so much more productive. I can actually execute and get stuff done, and I can spend time just thinking about all the things I need to do, and how I plan to do them, saving me time and effort.
I plan to use 43 things as 43 things I plan to do in the next week, rather than a lifetime. Though many of the things will remain since they are on going reminders, I plan to make this more actionable and useful. I’ve also tied GTD to processes, and I’m in fact writing processes for every task in my life. I use a mac for work, so there is a great application called things, which I’ve started using, and it really helps me to organize my thoughts and what I’m doing. I would like to tie an RSS feed from 43things to things, so I can actually balance everything, and share how I was able to complete some of the tasks which currently haunt me.
Today I plan to do the following, duplicate all my 43 things to my things app, and remove the items from 43 things I can’t get done this week, or I won’t work on this week. I have a ton of maybe someday things up here, but I’ll put those into my things account.
