sooooooooo it's been awhile! 4 days ago

i belt my lungs out in the shower or whenever it’s just family around but the moment they finally start to pay attention to my singing or acknowledge that they are actually listening and enjoy it, i get nervous and can’t or rather won’t sing anymore.

i get so embarassed :$

however, in the last couple of weeks, i’ve been trying to organise a jam session with a couple of friends who can play the guitar. so far it’s just been talk – they’re interested in playing and i’m interested in singing but if i actually get together with one of them, i’d probably get hella nervous and not sing how i usually do…or something lame like that.

i gotta work on my nerves and just accepting that some people like my voice and some others might not.

most important thing is how amazing i feel afterwards, that should really help me out.

i used to sing solos for choir back in primary school and i really didn’t enjoy my time in the spotlight
i would remember how shakey and nervous my voice would sound and how i would be relieved once it was once it was all over
i don’t think i have a great voice
i guess i can sing in tune and people are always trying to get me to sing at the end of year concerts, in showcases and at parties but the nerves take over.
i would like to share my voice with whoever wants to listen…i just have to overcome the nerves.
the last time i sang on stage was year 8 ?
so roughly three years ago
and it was for the school soirée
less than 100 people but the palms were sweaty, knees shaking.
i received many compliments on the performance though
i want to be able to sing on stage again
and sing confidently !
