I hiked to the top of Half Dome when I was 19 or 20 and in top shape. Once at the top, it took me about a half hour to crawl out to the edge on my hands and knees and look down. Then another group comes up and one guy from the group walks to out to the edge of the outcropping called the “Diving Board”, bends over at the waist and takes a picture straight down over the edge. Some people are just plain wired different than others.
