18. Focused and determined

I am very focused individual. If there is something to be done or I have a desire to do something, I become very focused on the subject at hand. It is one reason why I am so good at completing the goals that I set for myself , such as going to college, buy my home, working 3 jobs. If you want to do accomplish something, then it takes focus and determination.

I learned early on that focus only works when you really want something badly. You find ways to figure it into your life and make it a daily part of your routine in some way.

I love that I am focused and determined. I has gotten me a college degree, a great job (as well helped me hold 3 jobs at once before), a home that I own, and well as many other lovely accomplishments. I think my strong trait of being focused and determined can worry some people, as to them it seems strange. It is possible that is because they are lacking in focus. I try not to worry about it too much, because its my life, not theirs.

Being focused helps me move forward in a positive way with my goals and aspirations while in this world. I hope when it is my time to leave this Earth, I will have accomplished what I wanted to and more. And all because I was focused and had a dream or a goal to chase it.

16. I am very resourceful.

I had to do number 16 again, because I did forgiveness twice. It had been a while since I consulted my list, so that is understandable that a repeat happened.

So my new Number 16 is Resourcefulness. It is one thing that I do love about myself. I am very resourceful. If I come up against a problem, believe me, I will find a way to solve it no matter what it is. I am very good at it. I use all the information that is available to me, either on the Internet, at the library or from people to find the answer that I am looking for. On reason, why I am so good at my job, being a paralegal, because there are times when one of the attorney’s need an address or an answer. And I am right on it, trying to solve it.

I never worry too much about things, because I know due to my resourcefulness, that I will find an answer and the problem will be solved. I sometimes feel that most people don’t appreciate my resourcefulness, while I hate it when a particular selection of people use me in the wrong way to figure things out for them for their own means all the time.

Well, at least I do. It really helps me out to know that I able to find answers when there seemingly is none, when I have various problems.

I have had a hard with this goal, because it means that I have to really look at myself as a person in a deeper level. I think I struggle with this goal, because I fight with low self esteem at times, so I have a hard time seeing things that others see.

But after some thought today about this goal, I realize that one f the things I love about myself is that I can and able to forgive people for things. I have a large sense of Forgiveness.

That I am able to forgive people for wrongs that have happened in my life. I am not perfect, and I still struggle with various issues that deal with forgiveness, but I am working toward a better grip on what is important in life. I know that I am able to forgive in some aspects in which others are not. I like to think that my range of forgiveness comes from my love for God and the understanding that Jesus forgave those who prosecuted him and put him to death. I have always strove to be more like Jesus in the forgiveness department.

Most of the time it doesn’t take much time for me to realize that forgiveness in a person in the best way to go. Honestly, I think it is one of my best assets of my personality.

I have a written list, as I do all my other lists, because I want to address each item individually, but I am finding with this particular list “List 100 things I love about myself” to be very hard, as I can’t find 100 things I love about myself.

I know it sounds pathetic, but it is much harder then I thought it would be.

This goals is going to really sit on my list of a long time. LOL

I love that I am self efficient. I have always buckled down to do what needed to be done to support msyelf. If that meant working 2 or 3 jobs, then I did it. It meant sacrificing pleasures like eating out or going places in order to keep the household in smooth working order, I did it.

I have lived on my own since I was 18 years old. I lived on my own, in my own apartment, my senior year in High school. I have never really asked my parents for help finanically for anything in all those years.

I have always lived on my own, and I have never moved back home, because I coudln’t handle living on my own. It times got tough, I got tougher and roughed it through the storm.

I also know my priorities and I know what needs to be done to get it done right in order to keep myself self efficient.

I love that I have a deep sense of being patriotic and a deep love for my country. When it comes to showing my country’s colors, I fly my flag high and step up to whatever might come my way to show that I am part of this huge country I live in, no matter how small my sacrifice might be.

I have always been a hard worker, and doing what ever needs to be done in order to finish something or accomplish a goal or a task

I love that when it comes to being alone, I am okay with it. It isn’t always a bad thing. It isn’t something I really enjoy, but I have learned and realize that being happy with one’s self is more fulfilling then trying to cram people into one’s life senselessly. I have learned to love and appreciate my time alone. I love it because it allows me time to re-discovery and find new pathways of my personality.

I am proud that my past has made something of me. It has not be pretty or even enjoyable, but it is my past and those events that have molded me and shaped me to the person I am today. No matter how horrible or heartbreaking my past has been, I still love that my past has made me someone of substance.

Jesus! I love that I have a very close relationship with Jesus and have had one since I was 5 years old. He is my best friend and I am happy to have Him in my life no matter what happens.
