Dear 43 Things Users,

10 years after introducing 43 Things to the world, we have decided we have met our last goal: completing the incredible experience that has been 43 Things. Please join us in giving one last cheer to all the folks who have shared their goals with the world, as well as all the people who have worked at The Robot Co-op to build this incredible website. We won a Webby Award, published a book, and brought happiness to a lot of people.

Starting today, 43 Things users can export their goals and entries from the site. Starting August 15, we will make the site “read only”. 43 Things users will still be able to view the site and export their content, but we won’t be taking any new content from users. We hope to leave the site up for folks to see and download their content until the end of the year. Ending on New Year’s Eve takes us full circle.

It has been a long ride (one of our original goals was to "build a company that lasts at least 2 years” - we beat that one!) While we wish the site could live on, it has suffered from a number of challenges - changes in how people use the site, the advertising industry, and how search engines view the site. We wish the outcome was different – but we’ve always been realistic about when our goals are met and when they aren't.

As of today, you will be able to download your goals and entries. See more about that on the FAQ page. Thanks for 10 great years of goal-setting and achieving.

I have been very creative lately!

April 30, 2012

I have been expressing myself in my own little artistic ways lately and it has brought me a lot of happiness. I haven’t done a lot of creative things since Christmas (For the Cowboy’s Christmas gift, I made 30 homemade coupons that ranged from him getting a homemade breakfast, a homemade dinner, a back rub, Quite time from his girls, etc. They were a mix of drawings, collage and painting work with different media. He loved them so much, he used on right away. It was the free kiss one!) but have noticed that it was the Christmas gift creating that has opened a bigger window to my creative mind.

I love it!

On Friday, April 27, 2012:

I made a Johnny Depp postcard (Sshhhh. .I can’t talk too much about it as it is a secret in a way)for a fellow 43Thinger. I made it out of a collective collage of pictures. It wasn’t anything spectacular, but I do have to say that it was awesome. I am sure that someone would want them if I hadn’t sent to to Mpr_8.

I also decorated the back of envelope, a letter and part of a card that I sent to my stepmother for Stepmother’s Day for May 1, 2012. I did a little bit of drawing, and a pasting of a cut out of a flower. And Wah Lahh, ART!

On April 30, 2012:

Today, I did a little bit of a collage on an index card that held my little note which was bounded together with my homemade ribbon (a single crochet stitch of kiwi green yarn) along with a new postcard and some stickers. I know that it wasn’t much, yet it still was a little bit of art created for others to enjoy.

I got very creative on Saturday!

April 16, 2012

I got very creative on Saturday when I crocheted my travel mascot, Bickle Hopefinder Bunnybunns. It took me about 6 hours of crocheting to finish him, minus the arms, which I finished on Sunday.

Doing this little project has really sparked my creative muse. I must do that more often, as it really does invigorate me.

I am finding that creating things opens a door to my happiness. I must do it more often then I do. It is lovely!

I am creating bit by bit.

March 27, 2012

Creating a more positive area in my home, as well as in my life.

I have been really going to town with cleaning around my home. I have been focusing on how I can “create” a more happy home, in what I see around me and what I do.

I know that the first step with living a happier life, usually starts right around where you live: Your home.

So I have been getting rid of junk that holds me back from having a happier life. And living it open more to “create” things.

I am setting up my library as my creation room. A room in which I can relax and create what ever comes in to my mind: novels, poems, collages, quilts (as my sewing machine is in there) I hope to hang my inspirational collage that I will be creating over the months.

My first step in “creating” a better home life and living area is going well. Now, I should start thinking about my next “creation” step. LOL

Creating a better view around me.

March 19, 2012

Since I am able to create how I see my world in my life, I have decided to “clean up” what I see both, physically and emotional, by doing some Spring cleaning in my home, as well as “creating” a lovely morning routine that opens my senses in a calming way, rather then rushing around trying to get things done before I have to go to work.

I plan to to create a sense of calm, enjoyment as well as an air of creativity in my home during the next month. You can say that “Spring cleaning” my physical life, as well as emotional life, in order to “CREATE” a better living environment for myself and others.

I am also planning in creating a inspiration collage, that I can look at to inspire me to “create” more in all ways possible.
