I spent 3 hours organizing them

May 17, 2012

I spent 3 hours organizing them last night. That was at least 291 VCR tapes, written down, organized into 4 sweater boxes.

The one thing I didn’t realize until I was catagorizing them is that I have a lot of “Christian” tapes. There is a the listing.

-The Life of Jesus Christ
-Jesus
-Jacob’s Gift
-The Miracle of Our Lady of Fatima
-The Gospel of John
-Christ in Art -the old Masters
-The Bible (In the Beginning)
-The Greatest Story Ever Told
-Mary Magdalene – The Hidden Apostle
-The Holy Bible (7 tapes)
-The Lamb of God
-The Song of Bernadette
-Greater HE thats in you
-The Life of Jesus Christ (4 tapes)
-ACTS (4 tapes)
-Aiden -Memorable Leaders in Christian History
-The Greatest Man Who Every lived (American Sign Language Edition)
-Elijah
-David & Saul
-The Greatest Adventure: The Easter Story (animated)
-Jesus
-Worship the King

That is 22 different tapes relating to my belief in God. I didn’t realize I had so many. And that isn’t counting about 4 or 5 Veggie Tales VCR tapes I have. And that is only VCR tapes. I haven’t even gotten to taking inventory of my DVDs yet.

Another thing I realized by taking an inventory, is that how much I love Winnie the Pooh. I have always been a Winnie the Pooh fan, but it really shows in the tapes that I have. I guess my remedy of watching Winnie the Pooh when I am upset or depressed has its wonderful outcomes.

I am still not done, as I am still re-arranging all the tapes (at least 250 of them in the 4 tubs. I might have to go to another tub, because I haven’t even added about 50 of them, (I am trying to find room for them, and I haven’t even touch all my special Christmas tapes (beacuse I keep them separate so I know where they all are during the Christmas season)

It is nice that they are getting organized and inventoried, on top of it, it makes me want to watch a bunch of them as well.

I plan on doing this

May 16, 2012

I added this two weeks ago, and I haven’t finished it yet. I have rumaging around my three sweater boxes filled with VCR tapes. I know it seems like a lot, but I don’t have cable, so I just end up watching the same movies over and over again, in order to save money. I have a lot of DVD’s as well, but since my DVD player is broken, I have reverted to using my VCR player, which works just as good.

I am planning on organizing all the VCR tapes according to genre, such as Action, Animation,(tons of that!) Fantasy, Horror (there isn’t alot of that) Musical, etc. I am then going to label one sweater tub with all the tapes, so that way I don’t have to dig into all the tubs to find one tape. I will know which tub has what.

Back in January, I started writing down all the DVD’s I had in a little note book so that way I could take an inventory of all the movies I had.

I guess the main thing I have to do is put them away when I am done with them, instead of piling them up in my bedroom and finally moving them into the living room.

Well, I plan on doing this tonight as well as cleaning out Vader, working on my novel and some other goal orientated things.
