3 cheers

I haven't said much lately . . . 2 years ago

A bit of stress, a smackeral of worrying, plus not really wanting to sit in front of my computer is the reason why I haven’t said much in the past couple days, but. . .

Just wanted everyone to know that you are all doing a great job helping each other and reaching out to other people as well.

As I was handing out my cheers (I do love to give cheers!) I came across a person that had a goal of 1000 scholarships. It seems that this person is going to be applying for 1000 scholarship in order to win some money for college. I remembered that website that I used to use when I was applying for various scholarships when I was in college.

I gave this person the information for this website in the hope that it would help because it really helped me.

I realized that that little bit tidbit of information might make a difference in this person being able to accomplish that goal.

Ask yourself, what have you done today to make a step toward your goals, no matter how small.

For everyone doing NaNoWriMo, we are all in this together. It is one of my goals too! Only 14 more days and the countdown begins. Oooooh, I am so nervous!

I am throwing down a challege!!! 2 years ago

We have 111 people in this group, the last time I looked. 103 of those people are part of a group.

Reminder: Group by definition is: A number of individuals or things considered together because of similarities. Example a small group of supporters across the country.

We are a group and as a group we should help each other. I know that I get regular emails telling me of posts of fellow 43things that are working on this goal.

I throw down a challenge. A challenge to every one of us in this group. The challenge is: Think about this goal and come up with an idea that can better help others as well as yourself in something of importance. It might be a website that might help a fellow 43thinger learn a new langauge or even better keep track of a budget. Post it here.
Look within yourself and ask “What did I need help in and some how I solved it.” Once you find that answer, then you have an light that might guide the way to help another person in need as well. I know that you all are capable of giving a little to inspire another. Even if it is just in this group.

I have read over 50 of 111 of the list individual goals of the people in this group. I continue to work on my own goals, but I must remember that by achieving my own goals, I now have the knowledge to help another. By getting to know other people’s goals, I will know who I can help and direct a bit of advise to where it might be needed. As I said before, this group and goal can be a bit more then a swallow at this point in time, but I know that a huge banquet dinner is not inhaled all at once, but consumed bit by bit. I am biting off a bit of this huge goal and chewing on this matter that might encourage others in this group that have not responded to do so, or more – Tell me or any of us what you want help in. So we can focus on the issue that you need help in. We are a group and this group wants to help!

I am HERE! Challenge me.

:o)

I will be watching to see who takes up the challenge. Just remember this web site “43things” was created to remind us of the challenges or goals that we want to achieve and accomplish.

No matter how long or hard it seems. Walking a mile is never achieved until you take the first step. And after the first step, the next once always get easier.

The challenge is on. hee hee. I am going to love this.

:o)

Howdy my fellow 43thingers! 2 years ago

I have been thinking about this goal quite a bit even though I have been silent the last couple days. I know that this is quite a large and volumious goal to choke down, but I am always reminded that “I” (meaning me) always extend a thought of encouragement along with my cheer to those I feel I can help.

I know that I don’t comment very often when I cheer, because it takes time. But that is the point, I need to take time to be concerned, to help or lift up and encourage those around me that are stuggling with a thought or an idea or a goal they are workiing on.

Sooooo. . . I have been trying to write a comment with every cheer I give, so that not only is my cheer recieved, but my words are give to encourage as well. A simple hello, or I understand what you are going through, might make the difference in changing someone’s life no matter how simple it might seem.

I know I don’t have all the time to write commments, but to take just a little bit of time means more then not doing nothing at all.

Remember, all the comments that you have recieved from other people and how those various comments helped you and encouraged you work harder, think differently or made a hard situation easier to bear. . . why? Because someone took the time to say a simple word of encouragement.

So I leave this for you all. We can all be the bright light that people need in their lives or we can just walk along the dark pathway with our eyes to the ground like nothing is going on.

It is up to you to make a difference.

If you really want to accomplish a goal. . . 2 years ago

You must be serious about working on it. Who is with me? If your goals seem too big to complete, think about downsizing the goal a step so that your goals seems to be attainable and not so impossible.

Have you have prioritized your goals. Have you set daily goals that will help you move toward your ultimate prize?

To those writers out there: Have you written today?

To those that want to be financially independant: Are you reviewing your budget every week to see how the bills are coming along?

Are you challenging yourself enough to keep your goals moving along, or are you allowing yourself to stagnate and slowly forget about your dreams?

Are you praising yourself and giving yourself the reward for making a step no matter how easier was or how hard that step was?

Remember, you can achieve your goals no matter what other people say. If you stick your mind to it, nothing is impossible to those who try. Now, go out there and change your world on day at a time.

I KNOW you can do it!

Have YOU. . . 2 years ago

worked on any of your goals today?

Purused thought ideas and ways that might help your achieve a step toward the goal?

Do you reflect on your goals daily to see what direction your life is going in order make the baby steps toward completion?

Have you rewarded yourself for making progress?

Have you smiled and compliments a fellow person, either a 43thinger or someone you know today?

Remember postive attitudes, smiles and good feelings are contagious! Pay it forward.

We are all here on 43things for one thing in mind. Completing our heart’s goals in our lives. Never let your dreams fade or get old. Allow them to be the sunshine that makes your day brighter.

Our dreams and goals are what make each of us, who we are deep down inside.

Dream on and dance forward with your ultimate goal in sight!

(Sorry I am listen to Crazyfrog, it got me in a very positive and upbeat mood! ha ha ha)

All the People that want to Exercise daily 2 years ago

I have an idea that might help. Get a pedometer that keeps track of your steps (and depending what type you get, your miles too)

It has greatly improved on my motivation to move more, to get into the action of things during the day. By walking only 10,000 steps that is equavent of walking 5 miles.

I make it a game to see if I can go over my goal each day. Sometimes I just pick out a number, i.e. 13,468 and try to walk that for the day. In order to acheive my goal, I have walked an hour or two at night just for relaxation (helps me sleep better) as well as striving to finish my alloted goal.

I might help you all get motivated. Plus it is fun to see yourself advance a bit more each day of walking, as you body gets more and more used to walking everyday. And it is also fun to log your miles to see how far you have walked in a two week period. You would be amazed on how a simple things as walking can really improve your life, both physically and mentally.

I want a goal encouragement buddy! 2 years ago

Wanted: A 43thinger that needs a fellow person to help, encourage, cheer on, advise and praise me on my set goal as well as do the same to that person into activitely working on a particular set goal daily, weekly or monthly in order to achieve the ultimate goal of pressing the “I have done this” button upon the completion of one’s goal.

ha ha ha. . I am serious!

Be an encourager, a supporter, a sponsor to a person's individual goal. 2 years ago

I havent been able to look at many people’s goals. But by helping a person complete one of his or her goals, is to encourage them to work on it daily, weekly and monthly if possible. I try to do something everyday toward completing my goal or goals, no matter how small it might be.

What I found out that it is hard, when you don’t have encouragement. For example, I need someone to encourage me to get ready for Nanowrimo and encourage me to write everyday. Of course, I have no one to ask me how I doing, so I tend to sideline that goal because no one is really interesting in seeing me achieve this goal. What I am saying that I would love to see some kind of buddy system, 43thingers that have similar goals as mine that are within this “Help my 43t friends achieve their goals” group that keep in touch with each to see how they are progressing. People have a buddy system when they diet, in order to keep their minds focused on the ultimate goal. Why couldn’t we do this type of Buddy System as well?

I know that the best encouragement is always one that is given by a friend that wants to see a person achieve his or her goal. Encouragement, praise, advice and sharing common struggles to acheive the goal in mind.

It was just an idea Almost like each person could have a “encourager” to keep actively moving toward a particular goal. I would love to be in touch with a person that I could encourage and help reach a goal as well as be boosted by that person’s positive feedback on how I might achieve mine.

Sacristia has gotten 3 cheers on this goal.
