Now I’m back on track

Maybe I should join
A haiku challenge some time
A haiku “face off”

Count the syllables
Hope that the prose flows freely
See where this takes me

Three weeks since our stolen kiss
And nothing has changed

On the face of it
Situation normal, but
I catch you off guard

And your faces changes
I am surprised to see the
Blaze of affection

On your face so clear
Am I your guilty secret?
A delicious one?

A smile on your lips
No one else would understand
Alone in your thoughts?

Need to write Haiku
Normal poetry is dull
And rhyme is boring

Mostly you write when
There is a seasonal date
On the calendar

Like Easter, Christmas
Or an anniversary
Personal to you

When something happens
I will then commit Haiku
