I work out 4-5 times a week for 1-2 hours doing cardio and weights. I’ve been doing this for about 18 months now. I’ve lost a couple of pounds and that’s it! I think I must consume too many calories, though I try not to… I don’t eat a lot of fatty food but do consume too much sugar. It’s a bit of an addiction. and I love to cook and bake, a lettuce salad just doesn’t smell like a hearty pie! However I am within my healthy weight range, and I figure unless I love to swan around in a bikini (I don’t really swim or ‘do’ beaches so… no) or want to be a supermodel (no thanks) it doesn’t matter if there’s a bit of padding around my middle. I’m healthy and fit.

I just saw some photos of myself five years ago. I had forgotten my body could be like that!
I went to the gym most of last year and saw substantial changes. I have moved and just joined a new gym yesterday – so hopefully by the end of this year, I’ll be on the way to looking like some of those old photos. It gets so much harder as you get older to eat any extras and not have it show…
