We have reservations to raft the lower Kern tomorrow morning!

Whoo hoo! Laying out clothes and sunscreen, etc., packing dry clothes to change into. Looking around for lose-able sunglasses and hat.

We will also be in Sequoia National Forest for the first time. We’ve been to Bakersfield several times, but never realized there were water sports like this near by.

Good grief! I’ve had this goal for FIVE YEARS!

Just bought 2 Groupons - It's going to happen!

I am so excited! I gave up on this a while back because my husband’s knee was so bad I knew he wouldn’t be able to do it. Now, 9 months after knee replacement, it’s back on the list!!

Yeah, yeah.

I just saw River Wild again, and I’m all pumped up.

My family used to whitewater canoe when I was a kid, and I loved it. I’ve done ocean kayaking, etc, and it was so much fun.

I need a physical challenge to get ready for, and the Kern River is calling. It needs to happen this year.
