get divorced

Statistics say that divorced people are more likely to get divorced again (if they re-marry…) He was abusive (verbally, sexually, emotionally, and eventually even physically…), he was controlling—in fact he is still trying to control me. I was depressed so badly I had to be admitted to the hospital. We’ve been separated 7 months now, and even though it’s hard to start over I have never felt so good. Suddenly I can see the colors in the sunrise again… I want this divorce to be final. I want to breathe again. But I wonder if I can trust someone again… or whether I’ll make the same mistake again…
