Work in a skate shop

Apparently I gave up on this goal a while back…thats a lie…I didn’t stop handing out resumes. In fact Im going to hear from Landyachtz today and talk to them about getting an interveiw. I want to work for them as a board maker.
Sanding and finishing longboards.

I passed out three resumes yesterday,
In every store I got asked questions about what I could do and when I would be around to work.
In the last store I was given the managers card and told he would call me.
I’m holding my energy high and am full of hope.

So theres this place I just recently found out about which sells skate brand clothing; RVCA, Volcom, Obey, stuff like that.
No skate equipment though I dont think.
Anyways I went in there yesterday to look at their clothes and I ended up talking to the assistant manager who was behind the counter at the time. I asked if they were hiring and she said yes.
She asked what hours I was looking for and I said weekends.
shes said that was perfect and asked if I had a resume.
I said I didnt have one on me but I could go get one.
So I went home, printed off a resume and came back.
When I asked when I should follow up, she said the manager would be in tomorrow and she would show them my resume.
I HOPE I GET A CALL!!!!!

I would get all my clothing like 25% off and its all my fav brands.
this may not be working at a skate shop, but its hella close and when this is on my resume it will put me that much closer!

re wrote my resume
It looks so much better.
I forgot that I was a MOD (Manager On Duty) at movie gallery.
The word Manager brings my resume up such a large step.
:)
Now I just have to write the cover letter.

I printed it off today.
Im nervous about handing it out cause most of my experience is in movie theatres and video stores…not retail or skateboarding…
gotta try though right? like 90% of success is showing up :P
