It’s all slowly crept back on :-P Luckily not to the stage I was at right back in the beginning, just the 6kgs I was trying to lose.

Sooooo, looks like this is still a current goal.

Did a workout yesterday, and have been walking a lot more lately. Next step is to overhaul the diet again, ease back into cutting out the rubbish and adding in the good stuff.

Still got 4kg to go

Still, I’m not unhappy with my progress. Feeling fitter and definitely building muscle, so it’s all good :)

Started back at the gym

Did 45 minutes of cardio on the treadmill and recumbent bike. Just brisk walking, no jogging. Still worked up a sweat though.

It felt great! I can’t wait to go again this week :)

Slow and steady

Well I managed to lose 10kg before I got too pregnant, and now that I’ve had bub I’m only 2kg over that weight. According to the BMI calculation I’m still 6kg over my optimum weight.

Soooooo … going to take this one slow and steady and do it the healthy way, especially as I’m breastfeeding. First step is to give my diet an overhaul again, I was on a mega-healthy diet while pregnant but have slipped back into some of my old bad eating habits over the last month or so. Second step is to get back into my exercise routine – so starting back at the gym this week. Once again no gung-ho stuff, just a slow and steady exercise routine to get my back to my previous level of fitness.

I’m aiming to lose that extra 2kg by the end of May, I think the breastfeeding will help with that anyway. My goal for the remaining 4kg is the end of October when we go away for a beach resort holiday. I want to feel confident in my swimmers when I take bub for a swim in the resort pool :)
