I planted sunflowers for the summer, but they never came up. It’s been so dry for so long (until last night when it absolutely bucketed rain) that I don’t think they got a chance to grow.

I also planted marigolds and they’ve sprouted all over the place and are starting to flower now. Strange that they’ve come up and the sunflowers haven’t. They’re orange and gold though, so I’m halfway to my golden sunflowers ;-)
