890 + 67 = 957

Cleared out the office yesterday and started going through boxes of clutter and old folders of paperwork. I’m sure the count is way over 67, but I was tossing too fast to keep up with the tally ;-)

One huge purge, and I’m hoping a shedding of items that hold negative energy, was of divorce related paperwork from years and years ago. Tez & I celebrate 9 years married this week, so it seemed more than apt that I finally let go of things from before our life together.

786 + 104 = 890

More outgrown kiddie clothes purged:

  • 39 items handed down to a friend.
  • 29 items bagged for charity.
  • 36 items tossed, after being worn to death!

Pretty much his whole wardrobe from last winter gone.

Sideways step

Doesn’t count towards the total, but spent time today packing up lots of “baby” stuff ready for storage. Had already gone through all the clothing, but tackled the kitchenware stuff today – sippy cups, bottles, baby bowls, baby cutlery, etc.

A little sad to mark the end of his babyhood, but heaps of room in the kitchen drawers again :)

I’ve given it a 12 month stay in storage, after that if we haven’t had another bub it will be time to say goodbye to it all.

486 + 300 = 786

I think we may have knocked this one out of the park the last couple of days. I stopped counting after 300 items! HUGE cleanout of our cupboards and the toybox.

467 + 19 = 486

After a long break decluttered another 19 or so items yesterday.

Was wondering if this goal was still worth pursuing, but then I read over my previous entries – and realised that not only could I not remember half the stuff I’ve already got rid of, I definitely hadn’t missed it! For that little reminder alone I think this goal is worth completing. So onward to 1000 items!

437 + 30 = 467
