Just up the road and around the corner from us. Perfect spot for a beer at “genuine 1972 prices” and a crackerjack game of lawn bowls ;-)
Not so much a place, but a friendly Kookaburra who likes to visit us for a chat and a bit of a cackle. He’s sitting on the old Optus cable that runs to our house, directly at eye level from our front verandah. He also likes to sit out the back on the clothesline (yes, a Hills Hoist) and call out to the rest of his Kookaburra family.
A plaque laid in 1988 to commemorate 50 years of our Apex Club serving the Ipswich Community. The plaque sits in a small park beside the Ipswich General Hospital.
These photos were taken last Wednesday just down the road from us. This is Brisbane Road, the main road into Ipswich. This flood is the worst Ipswich and Brisbane cities have seen in 36 years.
