I actually have been drinking more water lately. I guess I’m getting more used to it. I also have been eating healthier things recently, like a lot of fiber, so maybe that makes me thirsty. But I have to drink a whole bottle of water with breakfast, and with lunch, and I try to finish one of those BIG bottles of Poland Spring in one day. Some days it happens, sometimes it doesn’t, but I am drinking more than I have been, and I do feel better. My hands were so disgustingly dry and chapped and gross, and I used to moisturize and moisturize and apply lotion, to no avail. So now I am moisturizing and drinking more water, and my hands are a lot more moisturized and not dry and gross anymore. Yay!



Mmm....Water 12 months ago

Well, I tried giving up diet coke, but I have been getting intense headaches, so now I am trying to cut down to like, one small glass a day. Everything else is tea or soy milk, but mostly water.

I feel like I’m flushing out a lot of toxins in my system, but I am in and out of the bathroom all day long, which is annoying….



Harder Than I Expected 12 months ago

I guess I was expecting this to be fairly easy, but it’s something I really need to make sure I work on. I guess I just figured, if I’m thirsty, I’ll just reach for a bottle of water. But I definitely am still not drinking enough. I need to be more rigid about it, maybe. Like, as soon as I wake up, I have to take some medicine, and I need to drink some water with it. I can force myself to drink the whole bottle, rather than just a sip or two. Maybe I will have to schedule my water-drinking into my day, or else I just won’t do it. Maybe certain times of the day will have to be designated as water-drinking hours, whether I am thirsty or not. Like every day, at 10am, 1pm, 4pm, 7pm, or something like that, I have to drink a glass of water. It sounds silly to like, pencil in my water-drinking, but honestly, I haven’t made it a priority yet and I am so dehydrated. My skin is so dry!!



Dehydrated! 12 months ago

You know, I really don’t mind drinking water. I try to drink at least 3 of the Poland Spring 700mL bottles a day, but I’m a teacher and so I am stuck in my classroom for sometimes 3+ hours at a time. There have been times when I have been literally doing the peepee dance in front of my students. But I really must be dehydrated, and since I am getting older, I want to drink more water because it makes my complexion look beautiful! Not to mention the overall benefit to my health that drinking water would give me.

Another problem: if I drink water before bedtime, I end up waking up a few times in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, which is annoying.

Also: I don’t have a problem drinking water when I am not eating anything, but with meals or snacks, I am so used to drinking soda or juice or something flavored. I mean, mostly I drink diet soda, so I’m not concerned about the calories too much, but it’s not very healthy.

I don’t know. I guess I just have to put my foot down, and just limit myself to water and herbal tea, and maybe a glass of soy milk or juice in the morning.

I am going to start tomorrow.
