Tomorrow I will use my new pizza stones in the oven and make 8” pizzas.
I bought some small pizza screens at Chefs’ Toys yesterday and used them when trying out a new recipe for quick grilled pizza.
Wasn’t sure how the pizza screens would work on the grill and used them for the first few minutes on the grill to keep the crust round instead of rustic looking. It’s something we will use again.
I ordered 8” round pizza stones to make individual pizzas on the grill. Will use them to cook the crusts before the toppings are added. Hoping the stones will help keep the pizza more uniformed shape and the crust evenly browned. Still need to research how to use the pizza stones on a grill so that they don’t crack.
Going to practice a few times at home before using them for a large family gathering.
...yesterday brings my count up to 39 pizzas. I planned to mark this goal complete once I made 43 pizzas.
I need to challenge myself with different types of pizza crusts before marking this goal complete.
Going to make pizza during the weekends instead of on a weekday. Just haven’t had enough time to make dough that takes more than an hour or two to rise.
... for lunch today brings my count up to 30 pizzas since I started this goal.
I brought my pizza tools to a relatives house and made pizzas for lunch before the family left after the holiday. Making multiple pizzas is so much quicker with two ovens. The pizza crust was crunchier than normal and will have to make some adjustments next time I use those ovens.
Most of the pizza we make is a 12” pizza on parchment paper and cooked on a baking stone before the toppings are added. We then cook it on the oven rack. A pizza peel helps getting the pizza in and out of the oven quickly. We bought a couple pizza pans at a restaurant supply store to serve the pizzas on.
This goal will be complete once I make 13 more pizzas. Hopefully I will have more time to try new crust recipes.
... weekly, we are making homemade pizza. I often make a quick pizza dough in the food processor and usually have the same toppings each week. It’s time to try something different and will try to allow more time to make other doughs. We usually make two 12” pizza’s so we have leftovers.
Will mark this complete, once I have made 43 pizza’s.

(update) Haven’t had a lot of time to make pizza lately and just making a quick dough with our favorite toppings. Will try different recipes once we start having pizza regularly again.
