I really need to do this. I use Ubuntu (even worse Intel64), and because of this I still can’t completely depart from MS which is on my laptop. Even though some companies are flirting with open source it will still be some time before more commercial software providers port their products for linux.
I’m a Photoshop user through and through (which keeps showing up as I keep finding myself using PS keyboard shortcuts while working in GIMP – incredibly frustrating.)
Although I admit I will probably never completely discard using PS (& if I could get WINE to work properly I’d probably not worry too much about GIMP), it would be nice to be able to use GIMP competently enough instead of reverting back to PS whenever I find I can’t do something.
