I got this done three days ago and I already know it is the best thing I’ve done in my life! My eye sight is still al ittle blurry when I try to focus on something like my laptop screen but the surgeon says it is because my left eye is healing quicker than my right eye so my right eye is still struggling a little with close-up objects. Despite that, I am street legal to drive and I already feel so much better! It’s like I’m wearing my contact lenses… but I’m not! I’m just worried I”ll get drunk some evening and forget and spend ages poking at my eyes trying to get my contact lenses out! Apparently it’s a common occurrence! The best way to avoid that is to cut back o nthe booze a bit (cutting back also helps with the healing process anyway and will help me lose weight!).
Well worth doing! I would recommend it to anyone!

So, I’ve not long had my first appointment when my eyes were testing in many ways. I am now approved for surgery and am looked in for Saturday morning for the type where they peel back the cornea. More expensive, but apparently much better.
I’ve been taking a daily dose of Vit C to boost my immune system, as advised, and I’ve been rubbing my eyes with steralising wipes twice a day, as directed by the surgeon.
Now, all I have to do is hope that I get the money from the bank so that I can pay for it (all I’m asking for is an advance on a small portion of the income I’m going to get from the sale of my apartment being concluded at the end of the month), otherwise I will have to cancel the appointment for about a month. Finger’s crossed!
It’s funny as I thought I’d be really worried about the surgery, but I’m not. I’m more worried about doing something that causes complications after the surgery while my eyes are sensitive and still healing, like rub my eyes and tear / damage the flap in my corneas.
