I’m going to put this goal on the backburner for a while as I pursue other goals. I’ll still look for coins.
Good luck! Have fun! :-)

Found a penny while I was at Ikea (near the soft drink area of the cafeteria).
Total found: $0.03… doesn’t seem like much, but it’s been about a week since I’ve started so it seems like I’m finding something every couple of days. It’s going to be intersting to see how long it takes to find $100, in total.
—update section (Maybe someday I’ll re-open this goal)
About two weeks ago, I found 6 pennnies in an elevator
Total Found: $0.09 (only $99.91 left to go!) :-)
Wow! The pennies are starting to add up! :-) I went to Walmart and started looking around the entrance/exit doors and then found one penny on the ground by a phone booth.
It really feels like treasure hunting.
Whoohoo! I found my first penny. I’m actually laughing as I type this, because my Dad asked if I get pennies… I must have been a little excited. Must have looked a bit funny as it’s only a penny, but it’s now $99.99 left to find. LOL. :-)
I was looking for the cent symbol on the keyboard and couldn’t find it; does one exist? If so, where is it located? Come to think of it, I rarely see price tags with the cent symbol anymore.
Another question… Do you keep the coins in a special container until you find $100?
I went for a walk and remembered my goal so I started looking as I walked. It was fun walking and going on my little treasure hunt.
Still at $0.00… but looking.
Have you heard the saying: “Pick up a penny, all the day you’ll have Good Luck’? I always think that it’s lucky to find a penny. I don’t know why.
As of now, I have found zero coins. I’m in the process of cleaning my home so I’m sure that I’ll find some loose change. I think that I have a piggy bank somewhere in my closet. Does this count as part of the $100? or do I need to find the coins on the street, in public, etc.?
