I finished the hat, and feel like I need to start another knitting project so I’m going to mark this goal as complete!
:-)

I just need to close off the top with the double point needles. I can’t believe how much I managed to knit yesterday! At this rate, I could make a few hats for Easter gifts… or maybe if I have enough time.
I think that I might have made a mistake on the bottom part of the hat; it was supposed to be a moss stitch for 4 rows, but it looks more like a ribbing. Oh well, it still looks how I want it to look.
It’s going to be a multi-colour hat, and has the perfect colours for Spring! I’m thinking that it would be a great Easter present.
It took me approximately 2 hours to knit 3” on the circular needles. Now it’s just a matter of making time to finish it!
The wool is so soft. It’s going to be fun to knit this hat! :-)
This time I want to do it all by myself, and not have any guidance from anyone. I’d like to make another baby hat, and then a hat for an adult. After I make these two hats, then I think that I can say that I’ve finished this goal.
I love this hat! The colour, the decorations, and the tension. I’m even going to put a special tag in it. I must remember to take some digital photos of these hats so that I can remember them long after I’ve given them away… The time that I spend making them is definately a labour of love. I can’t wait to give it to my friend’s baby. Only a few more hours until I can do it! I’m really looking forward to see it on her tiny newborn size head. :-)
How do I post photos here?
I can’t wait to see how it turns out. The first two were basically ‘practice hats’ so hopefully this one turns out better than the first 2 hats.
This is soooo addictive. I just couldn’t put down the needles!!! I started working on another hat, and ended up knitting until 2 a.m.
What can I say? I love knitting!
It was worth staying up as I’m about half way finished, and will soon be able to go on the 4 needles to finish off the hat.
I’m trying to think of some nice embellishments to add to the hat. I guess that I can do whatever I feel like doing so that will be nice.
I had better go to bed early tonight. LOL.
I made my first hat using cheap wool from the dollar store. It wasn’t the best wool, but it was good enough to learn how to knit a hat.
It looks ok, but I would like to make another hat to give to someone. I’ll keep this hat as a “learning” hat so that I have something to refer to when I start making my new hat.
