You are now a pre-schooler, and will soon be a big sister.
You like having tea parties, and playing dress-up. You have a big vocabulary, and like to talk.
There are a lot of changes this month. You know the parts of the body, and point to them and try to say them.
You know head, hair, nose, eyes, mouth, hand, fingers, feet, toes, tummy, etc.
You love clothes, and especially love wearing hats. I should knit you a few more hats, because you like to change the hats each day; sometimes you even change the hat a couple of times a day.
Lights fascinate you, and you loved decorating the Christmas tree. The neighbours have Christmas lights up, and you like to look out the window at night to see if the lights are turned on.
I tried to give you a hair cut, and it would have turned out ok, but you quickly turned your head, and I have to move the scissors so that they wouldn’t go into your little eyes. Consequently, you have a funny looking hair do, but hair will grow back, and you don’t seem to mind.
You loved opening the Christmas presents, and even helped to put the wrapping paper in the recycling. You are such a good little helper.
Today, you wanted to wear an apron like Mummy, and help me in the kitchen. I gave you a little apron to wear, and you found your broom, and dustpan set and proceeded to sweep the floor. After helping in the kitchen you went into the pantry to help “re-arrange” things, and when you decided that everything was in its place along with sampling a few sundried tomatoes you decided that the windows needed to be cleaned.
You are such a good little helper! I should make an apron for your Christmas present! :-)
You are able to hum to the song that I sing to you before you go to bed. off to bedtime you must go. I love it when you hum along. It’s such a precious moment.
Another addition to your vocabulary are the words “wiggle, and giggle.” You can clearly say “wiggle, giggle” and you say them when you walk around the house.
You know the animal sounds for Cow, Cat, and Dog. Although you pant instead of saying “woof” or “bow-bow”. I bought some masks for you to wear (cow, cat, and dog), but you don’t like to wear them. You think that it’s hilarious when I wear them, and you always want me to put them on.
Yesterday, we went shopping, and it took a while to complete the errands, but you patiently waited for me to finish. When we got home, you took off your jacket, and looked for a hanger to put your jacket away. Then you looked for the shoppinng bags, and found the one that was for you. Before you looked inside you tapped me on the shoulder, and gave me a big hug, and kiss. It was such a special moment.
You also waited for me to say “Open the bag” and then you were delighted to see the new clothes. You loved the new pink boots, and wanted to walk around the house with them on. When Daddy got home from work you proudly showed him your new boots.
It was a great day! :-)
Daddy bought you another little tent to play inside. This one is bigger than the one that you used to play in, and now either Daddy or I can join you in your new tent (it is big enough for us to go inside).
