write more letters

I sent out a thank-you note today. I have several more I should send out, but I think I need more note cards. This is a good thing!

Hmm, I wonder where my old stationary got to…

I sent out three job applications that required you apply by post. Does that count?

I’m sending a nice note to a restaurant to thank them for service above and beyond what anyone could reasonably expect. BTW, if there’s a Fox and Hound near you, go! They deserve it!

Someone did me a huge favor today (I asked for directions and ended up getting a ride), so I’m going to send out a thank-you note today. It’s not the same as a letter, but it’s something.

I got one in the mail today! Huzzah!

Also, my boyfriend said he’d be sending one out tomorrow (we’ll see…) and that he acknowleged their place in the historical record. Finally!

Two people have assured me letters are on the way. Yeah, I’ve heard that one before…

Had a big discussion today with my boyfriend. He thinks letters are obsolete, and all the things I value about them can be found elsewhere. He just doesn’t understand that saving and printing out IM conversations isn’t even remotely the same! I could use the support, since the only person who’s really into the letter-writing is pretty slow with the turnaround.

There’s supposed to be a letter on its way to me. Once it arrives, I can start on the response. I also have 4 other letters out there awaiting repsonses, and only one recipient has given me a good excuse for not bothering. I told the others, if you can’t or don’t want to do it, no problem, and they all said they were game. Not that game, I guess.

I also need to get my butt to a post office so I can send this one letter to Israel.
