move out of my parents' house

sadly, the folks at the housing office told me that they terminated my paperwork but that I could go back and put in the paperwork again. now M-F is strictly for work; I have some time and can get time off if need be and may just have to in order to handle this piece of business. Also, I am trying to get into another place within the same housing system with even more vacancies so hopefully, that will work out.

Funny thing, my daughter had a baby in Jan,2011,then worked on getting a place, and she got up for TWO places, but accepted the one with less to pay and since October, 2012, she has been living in her own place. In December, I was offered to move into my own but they required my birth certificate(which I had to send from NYC),my divorce papers(which I had to send from Miss),and I asked my ex for his copy, he wanted an exorbitant amount of money to do it; I ended up calling the courts in Mississippi and come to find out, it only cost WAY less than what he quoted. SO….I finally sent away for it, and got it back. so NOW I have BOTH papers. I called the folks to tell them I am ready but haven’t heard from them, so hopefully, I will be moving soon. don’t have much to move with but i don’t care, I’m gone.

I found a place to move into, and when I went to pay the deposit, they lost my paperwork, I got late for work by ten minutes, and got terminated the next day. I went to the Housing Authority and let them know I wasn’t working, and they told me to keep working so at present, I am still at it. My mom gave me some stuff to take with me to the new place, but with my unemployment and all, stuff is tight at present.

At present, I had an appointment with the local housing board to get on Section 8, and today since I am off, I plan to go to the police department and get a report from them, so if all works out well, I can have a place in a couple of months. To be honest, I am not crazy to have Sec 8 because they want to know ALL your business, but for now, that is the best way until I can do better for me.

Next week, I have an appointment to see someone about getting Section 8; if all works out well, then I can move on and cross this off the list.

I love my folks dearly, but we live emotionally on two different streets; well my mom does but not my dad; we both February born and similar in a lot of things; But, I just have this vision of me dancing around my new home and sitting on my deck with a drink(nonalcoholic of course) and a good book; My late sister had one and I loved it; but I remember her telling me how they were trying to take that nice view and make more houses out of it; Goodness, what the heck happened to America?? they getting like New York building on top of another;
