Crokuses, pt. II

Whee, they blossomed under my window this spring. Let’s see if they’ll stay or even multiply next year.

Untitled

Last season’s sowing action wasn’t particularly effective – nothing grew to blossom. Because of this, I just went into the backyard and planted some Crokuses. The bulbs won’t get eaten by birds, and they’ll grow and blossom way before the lawn gets mowed the first time next year. Wish me luck!

I sowed some plants on the emtpy spots in the backyard, and clovers as well as wild flowers on the lawn. I hope everything will grow enough roots to regrow after the lawn inevitably gets mowed…

Untitled

Most of the environment in my part of town is being overcared (i. e. anything I plant would soon be weeded out), but there’s a strip of soil beneath the trees in our backyard that’s left as it is. The caretakers only pile up the fallen leaves under the trees, so I’ll try and plant some lilies of the valley as soon as I can get them. They naturally grow in these parts, and usually in the shade of trees, so chances are good they’ll thrive.

If that works out, I’m going to gradually introduce more plants over time.
