Pay more attention to my appearance

SOoooo – there’s a meet-up here in my home town, and I know that I’m meeting a buncha folks, and I know photos will be taken. Do I brush my hair? (no) ... Do I bother to wear makeup? (no) ... Oh well – it is what it is, and I am what I am.

So I lost about 15 pounds – great!!!! I lost some in my face and now I’m paranoid about crow’s feet – I’m a redhead living in the west, and I’m 41… I should take time to moisturize, at least. So… I bought some Oil of Olay Regenerist – will I use it? I dunno, but I should, definitely! My friends say they can’t see the wrinkles – they are true friends, to be sure ;)

Perhaps I’m already glamorous!

Hard to wear contacts with all the sneezing and runny eyes – at least my glasses are way cool. But – no eye makeup, runny nose, tissue in hand, red face, half out of it on all the allergy meds known to man – I’m sure not at my loveliest. It’s been weeks now. Bummer!

For Christmas I asked my family for a stool to go under the sink area meant just for that, and I got one of those lighted mirrors that magnifies – I’m trying to leave some time to brush my hair and put a little makeup on- it’s certainly a must in the classroom. It’s helping – I feel a little better put together- now just to keep it going…

I really should. I look much better if I brush my hair and put on makeup, just a little. I look much, much better if I wear something other than sweats, and if I bother to do earrings. I may never do nailpolish and constant lipstick, but I could look like I give a drat. The problem is I should give a drat. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don’t.
