5’9”, 73kgs

my weight fluctuates quite a bit, but consistently working out and eating well, combined with protein shakes does the trick.

I get unflavoured protein (organic soy) – around 30 grams
a few ice cubes
some frozen mixed berries
some pine-coconut juice

mix that up with a blender = tasty protein frappe :)

current status 4 years ago

currently weighing in just under 70kgs, and that’s pretty lean, too!

my current plan is as following:
  • surfing twice a week
  • gym 3 times a week (signed up to a new gym close to home that’s cheap! and my mate goes there who’s very experienced)
  • good eating and plenty of water
  • plenty of rest

Surfing has kept me lean and strengthened me in different ways. My mate and I are keen to start German Volume Training next week, which sounds like a killer! :)

still floating around 68kgs 4 years ago

am hoping to change this in july, when I get back to oz. one good thing about living in sydney is that I get home cooked dinners by ‘the mar’! :) this is a welcome change, having lived overseas for 3 years now. (and, mum’s home cooking is always better than everything else)

I’ve got a new multi-joint basics full-body workout routine: push, pull, legs – three times a week.

I’m also using different techniques for my reps: super slow reps, 21s, 1+1/4 reps. I tried it for my back 2 days ago and I can really feel it today.

my plan is to use 1 routine for 2 months, then switch to a different workout, to keep from sitting on the plateu.

going backwards! :) 4 years ago

currently < 70kgs, having trouble gaining any weight due my current diet – life in Ghana, Africa is a carb-heavy affair, and my eating is hampered by my lack of excitement in the local cuisine :(

ah well, I’m happy to just maintain this size while I’m here in Africa, then when I get back to Sydney I’ll get on the ‘get huge!’ program again :)

72kgs, <= 14% bodyfat is the goal 4 years ago

currently hovering around the 70kgs mark, just need to increase my good food intake at present and keep training!

I think I’ve hit a plateau though, for muscle gaining – any tips out there to break the barrier?
