Doing an 8k race in Spain on Sunday. Currently 5k in 28 minutes is my furthest/fastest. I will have a few practice runs before then. I really want to do well in it.
This goal has turned into ‘run regularly’. I’m doing that in the gym and outside. The treadmill is good for monitoring, measuring and improving performance. Running outside on a peaceful route is when it is really enjoyable. Afterwards I feel really positive about what I’ve done and calm. Its best to avoid traffic as much as possible.
My two flatmates and I have decided we are going to get up earlier and go for a jog in the mornings together. This will also mean being able to enjoy an extra hour of daylight seeing as its dark in the evenings.
Went twice last week. Just been running. Got new trainers so no excuses. Will be in Prague from Wednesday to Saturday so I will run while there.
